Saw this article on the drudge report a few days ago, and thought its connections to history and memory were relevant. Judge for yourselves, but perhaps the "legacy of a president" is still one aspect of history that remains separate of memory, or at least is not immediately crystallized into a specific "history" just yet (Karl Rove's references to Eisenhower and Truman were of particular interest here).
