How frustrating... Identity politics rears its ugly head.
In Linenthal's account of the Holocaust museum, the architect's religion didn't appear to be a big issue. Of course, Freed was Jewish. But they had considered I.M. Pei at one point, but he was too busy.
Then again, we only know what Linenthal chooses to tell us!
